Mechanical CircumstancesTuesday 17th
Dear generous friends of men’s health,
An unfortunately-timed transmission failure (as opposed to the well-timed variety) means the R60/2 and its faithful sidecar will have to sit this one out. My backup options:
1) A wholly unassuming, utilitarian 1976 R90/6 — at least nominally the more “vintage” alternative
2) A wind tunnel-tuned, Hans Muth-designed 1984 R100RS, the final production year for this model (wait, who’s calling the 80s vintage?!)
The market will decide what I ultimately ride next weekend: cast your vote with another donation, noting your preferred steed in the Donation Message. High dollar-getter wins!
I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's RideThursday 24th
On Sunday the 22nd of May 2022, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons, and our support can help do something about that. So, before I polish my boots and squeeze myself into a disused tux, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can to help the men we love live happier, healthier lives.
I expect a fresh mustache to accompany the polished boots and disused tux!
Eat my road, liver lips!
Good luck, Luke!

Looking forward to hearing about it!
