And so it begins...

I have not shaved my face for the past 7 years, my son never saw me without a beard, keep reading below and it’ll make sense.

Here we are again folks, the 2018 Distinguished Gentleman's Ride campaign starts August 1st.

I will be relentless, I will text you, I will email you, I will call you if I have to, always begging for your donations! Why not save the aggravation and your phone battery by immediately making a nice and generous donation?

This is a fundraising competition, because we are bikers and competing always bring the best out of us. In 2015 we finished 5^th worldwide, 4^th in 2016 and 4^th again last year, missing the podium and 3^rd place by just $50 after raising over $25 000. Let’s do this for 2018, let’s get in the top 3. If we managed to do it, I will shave my face for at least 10 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just imagine how priceless it will be to see my baby face for almost a year.

With the help of the Movember Foundation, the funds raised will go towards prostate cancer research as well as men mental health support. We are making a difference every year and I know we can still do so much better. With 1 out of 9 men experiencing prostate cancer, we will all have someone we care for affected at some point or another. It could be a husband, a brother, a father or grandfather, a cousin, a co-worker or a friend. Prostate cancer doesn’t discriminate and can target any men in your life.

The odds of beating the disease are extremely good when it is diagnosed at an early stage, this is our main goal: Getting the men around us to talk about it, to feel comfortable having a discussion with you and their doctors. You are the element that will make a difference, your donation will help the research and you personally can save lives by taking the time and the energy to talk to the men in your life at least 40 years old. Sometimes a few words, a little encouragement or a good kick in the behind (us men tend to be stubborn and uncomfortable talking about our health, especially when it is linked to our butts!) will do the trick, but it has to come from you!

On Sunday the 30th of September, I will don my finest attire with my fellow men and women across the globe to join the fight with The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health. But before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I need you to donate what you can for this meaningful cause and help me reach my goal.

For your uncles, your brothers, your fathers and friends. Donate what you can, for their lives need not end.
