4 Days to Go!
Wednesday 17th May 2023Hi all,
we are only 4 days away from joining 281 others on the Gold Coast (and thousands across Australia) to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer and Mental Health.
This Sunday Pieta and I will be dressed in fancy clothes as we take to the streets en masse – between us we’ve raised $684 for the cause so far and Australia will contribute over $800K this year.
We are so grateful (and a little humbled) for our friends that have donated already – you are legends!
The good news is that it’s not too late to chip in if you are willing and able.
If you can spare something – even the price of a coffee or beer will make a difference - please donate what you can.
Thanks again,
Q.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Thursday 4th May 2023On Sunday the 21st of May 2023, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.

The Bike I've always wanted.
Tuesday 2nd May 2023Introducing Mr T - he's a Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE - a no-nonsense, tall, naked, multi-purpose monster of a bike. I love him dearly.
He's my fourth motorised two-wheeler - my second Triumph, and I've had one Japanese and one Italian bike in the past. He is by far the safest and most stable ride - and yet twist the throttle and he takes off like an angry guard dog off the chain - the high torque motor is both brutal and exhillirating (if not a little frightening).
This will be my third year of participation in the DGR. The cause for this ride is about prostate cancer and mental health and I've had light brushes with both cancer and head games... blokes dont like talking about it much but they are prevalent issues of today. They are totally worth working towards better understanding (and eliminating) them.
This bike is a big part of helping me to make some sence of the world. It reminds me to be grateful and gets me out in nature. At times I even enjoy the thrill of a calculated brush with danger. At other times he helps me to escape for a while - there's nothing quite like being in flow, and taking on some twisties in the hinterland on a hot, cloudless day!
Mr T is a bike with plenty of room for me to grow into and I cannot wait to discover more of Australia on him. LETS GO!
