Was it on a whim? No. I'd heard about The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride some time ago. However, I never thought I'd be part of it.
But with some friends who have been through prostate cancer and come through the other side, I thought it would be a good way to raise a small amount of money towards the fight to against it.
It might not be a cycle ride, a marathon, or an extreme event. But it's something that raises awareness of the cancer and a way for me to do my own thing in my own way to help raise that profile among friends and to raise money towards the research.
So, I aim to make myself as distinguished as posisble on the day. To ride with pride and to raise what money I can with a groups of like-minded riders.
On Sunday the 24th of September, I will don my finest attire with my fellow men and women across the globe to join the fight with The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health. But before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I need you to donate what you can for this meaningful cause and help me reach my goal.
For your uncles, your brothers, your fathers and friends. Donate what you can, for their lives need not end.
Thank you for all the donations thus far!
