The fundraiser for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2021 has come to a close.
This year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is celebrating 10 years, and since its beginning in 2012, 107 countries around the world have participated.
Team MOTO CAFÉ has been placed in 10th in the global Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride fundraising effort.
We surpassed our goal of raising $17,000, and were able to donate $28,626 to the cause.
THANK YOU to all riders, supporters and donors -and thank you to the assisting team members.
Please take a look at our MOTO CAFÉ profile and the individual profiles of our riders.
Some of us have experienced the life-changing effects of cancer and mental illness for ourselves or through our families or friends. That’s why we teamed up and fundraised for this important cause.
Please share the message from the Movember Foundation -early check-ups and tests can reduce the risk of dying early of cancer. Please reach out to people who need a talk for their wellbeing, and help eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health.
I hope we stay connected throughout the year and team up again at the next Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.

Our Team grew exponentially over the last weeks and days!
Please be advised that we cannot accomodate more riders in our team. Due to Covid-19 we are limited in our ride options. At this time we are splitting in small riding groups following the Emergency Program Act regulations.
The logistic challenges with that are meet ups, distancing, parking spot availability etc.
Please understand our decision not to grow our team further in its size. Please consider to group up with other riders in the Vancouver area.

As of today we are well on our way to reach our goal -fundraising $10,000!
Thank you to all our supporters and thank you to our team members, driving this fundraiser to new heights!
3 out of 4 suicides are men
510,000 men die from suicide globally each year. That's one every minute. This HAS to change.
The causes of suicide are complex. There's no single reason why men take their own lives, but we do know that by improvng overall mental health we can reduce the risk of suicide. We need to address untreated mental health conditions amoung men.
Please support the cause -save a life.
If you are interested in riding in a small group, fundraise personally but enjoy the group's recognition- then please be welcomed in our team.
As we prepare to ride on Sunday May 23rd, 2021, we will grow (or attempt to grow:) a moustache, proudly in the tradition of Movember.
We will also ready our tweeds and polish our steed. Although we have to consider physical distancing and keeping a small group- we have a route planned throughout our city. Perhaps we even have an apres-ride venue for lunch (depending on the local health regulations). Certainly we were able to secure some prizes.
This year prizes will be given to the highest fundraiser of our group, the rider with the oldest bike, the rider with the best customized bike, the rider with the most unique bike (or story of the bike), the rider with the most authentic suit, and of course, the rider sporting the best moustach.
On Sunday the 23rd of May, we are teaming up to ride in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.
Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before we press our tweed and polish our boots, we are asking you to join us in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
