Pride, Patches, and Purpose – DGR 2025 Update

Every patch tells a story.

In this photo, I’m on my Harley, wearing an old military jacket — a tribute to my 25 years of service — and proudly displaying the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride patches I’ve earned over the years. These aren't for sale. They’re awarded exclusively to riders who raise at least $250 USD for the cause. And I’ve been fortunate to earn several.

These patches represent more than just generosity — they stand for community, commitment, and countless conversations started around men’s mental health and prostate cancer research. I wear them with pride, not just as a rider, but as a veteran, and as someone who believes that small actions, multiplied across the globe, really do save lives.

Every ride, every donation, every show of support — they matter.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me along this road. Let’s make 2025 another year worth patching in.

🧥🎩 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2025 – Let’s try again! 🏍️

On May 18, I hope to take part once more in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, the global motorcycle event raising funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
Over the years, thanks to the amazing support of friends and colleagues, I’ve raised a total of €4,643 riding my Moto Guzzi and Triumph.

Last year, I had planned to join the ride in Namur (Belgium), but just a few days before the event, I had an unfortunate accident… in my garage (no motorcycle or car involved!).
The result? Three fractured ribs, a torn meniscus, strained ligaments, and a not-so-gentle twist to the cartilage. Not exactly the ideal pre-ride condition.

This year, I’m aiming to be back on the road, although due to family commitments, I can’t confirm my participation just yet.
