This year I am taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for the 3rd time to raise funds and awareness for mens health on behalf of Movember, and I need your help.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) is a global motorcycle event that raises funds and awareness for men’s health, focusing on prostate cancer research and mental health. Participants dress in dapper attire and ride classic and vintage-style motorcycles to support the cause.

In 2023, with the amazing support of friends and colleagues, I raised €1,700 (around $1,870 USD or 31,500 MXN) for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, helping fund prostate cancer research and men’s mental health initiatives. This year, I’m aiming to beat that! Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference—thank you for your support.

Prostate Cancer Statistics

• Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 
• 307,000 men will die from prostate cancer each year.

Suicide Prevention – Men’s Mental Health

• Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with ¾ of all suicides being male.
• 510,000 men die from suicide each year, that's one every minute.

This is a number that we seek to drastically change and can only been made possible through raising funds and awareness to help prevent men from dying too young.

Donate for Men's Health and Against Prostate Cancer 2025

Two years ago, I participated in The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in Mexico City, with a purpose that is deeply meaningful to me. This global initiative aims to raise funds to fight prostate cancer and promote men’s mental health.

Thanks to your support, I ranked 3rd nationally in fundraising, but beyond the rank, the most important thing was knowing that with each donation, we are helping to save lives and raise awareness about the importance of taking care of our health, both physical and emotional.

What many don’t know is that, despite medical advancements, 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and many of them don’t get treated in time. Additionally, 3 in 4 suicides worldwide are committed by men, largely due to the lack of support and the shame they feel when addressing their mental health, or “spending” on themselves. These statistics are alarming, and it’s our responsibility to change this reality.

In 3 weeks, on May 18th, I will be participating for the third time, this time from Europe, joining from Warsaw, Poland. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride takes place in over 700 cities in 100 countries around the world, uniting motorcyclists with a common purpose: fighting prostate cancer and supporting men’s mental health. Every kilometer traveled and every donation is not only for the bikes, but for all the men who did not have the opportunity to receive the support they need.

I invite you to be part of this cause. Your donation, no matter the amount, is an act of hope, of fighting against silence and forgetfulness, and even of raising a glass for someone who did something for us, even though they may no longer be with us. We send them a hug and a good moment together, helping others who are still here and need a helping hand.

Donate for Men's Health and Against Prostate Cancer

Hace dos años participé en The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride en Ciudad de México, con un propósito que me es profundamente significativo. Esta iniciativa global tiene como objetivo recaudar fondos para combatir el cáncer de próstata y promover la salud mental masculina.

Gracias a su apoyo, logré quedar en 3er lugar nacional en recaudación de fondos, pero más allá, lo más importante fue saber que, con cada donación, estamos ayudando a salvar vidas y a crear conciencia sobre la importancia de atender nuestra salud, tanto física como emocional.

Algo que no muchos saben es que, a pesar de los avances médicos, 1 de cada 9 hombres será diagnosticado con cáncer de próstata, y muchos de ellos no se atienden a tiempo. Además, 3 de cada 4 suicidios en el mundo son cometidos por hombres, debido en gran parte a la falta de apoyo y la vergüenza que sienten al abordar su salud mental, o de “gastar” en nosotros mismos. Estas estadísticas son alarmantes, y es nuestra responsabilidad cambiar esta realidad.

En 3 semanas, el próximo 18 de mayo será mi tercera participación, esta vez desde Europa, participó desde Varsovia, Polonia. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride se realiza en más de 700 ciudades en 100 países alrededor del mundo, uniendo a motociclistas con un propósito común: la lucha contra el cáncer de próstata y el apoyo a la salud mental masculina. Cada kilómetro recorrido y las donaciones no son solo por las motos, sino por todos los hombres que no tuvieron la oportunidad de recibir el apoyo que necesitan.

Te invito a ser parte de esta causa. Tu donación, sin importar el monto, es un acto de esperanza, de lucha contra el silencio y el olvido, y hasta de brindar por alguien que hizo algo por nosotros, aunque tal vez ya no estemos con nosotros, y les mandamos un abrazo y un buen momento juntos ayudando a otros que aún están aquí y necesitan una mano.
