I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 27th Mar 2024

In December 2016 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer at the ripe old age of 49.

What followed was a barrage of hospital appointments, a course of hormone treatment, then finally a Prostatectomy Operation in Feb 2017. Subsequent PSA monitoring then began on a regular basis 

5 years ago today (26/3/2019) I discovered my PSA levels had begun to increase again, and without a prostate to produce PSA, it meant the cancer was back. I had a further course of Hormone Treatment and then a 28 session course of Radiotherapy, ending in November 2019.

Roll forward to today and thankfully I'm still recording clear PSA results.

I am one of the lucky ones, and I want to help others through the journey. 

So on Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding My Triumph Bonneville T120 & Sidecar (with my son) in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.

Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that.

So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
