Friends Jim Southwell (on left) and Greg Adams riding a 200 and a 250 two stroke Bultaco... it was a cool and overcast day, but 50 riders came out to support this 'great effort' for Men's health. Both riders are also members of Porsche Club of America and our friendship centers around good food and drink, fast sportscars and exotic bikes. Riding on this short tour together for a great cause, solidifies the generous spirit our friendship entails and helps advance the cure for Prostate cancer and gives support to the mental health aspects of struggling with it. It was great riding with you guys today !

"Lady Luck"

the lady owner previous to me had ridden this old cruiser for over 20 years. It has a few miles on it, but runs remarkably well. This is from the day she sold it on and I became it's next owner in '17. Her bear no longer rides backup, but is stowed in one of the leather bags. Her "Lady Luck" decal will stay to honor her past life with this old scooter.....

the old Electra Glide I will ride was owned by a lady from WI. who gave up riding due to age, reflexes, and a desire to live past her mid 80s. She had a few close calls with drivers of cars or trucks and sold it with her memories, charger, tie down straps, and her Harley Bear she had strapped on the back bar. I kept the bear but it rides in one of the saddle bags as a good luck token. She also had a decal on the rear fender with her nickname .... image of the decal is above

My Doctor and friend has partnered with me in sourcing generators, medical assistance, clothes, medicines, and financial aid to victims of the war in Ukraine. Over the past three years her donations, assistance to myself and others in procuring medical aid to those hurt by the war of Russia advancing into Ukraine, have been invaluable. Compassion for those in need is all consuming on behalf of victims, and a great heart for sound mental health as well as physical wholeness, pre-eminent in goals set. When hearing of this effort for men's health, also decided to support the cause

Today I joined Team Bultaco with Greg Adams and Jim Southwell who are friends. They will be riding on two of Greg's Bultacos and even offered to let me ride another of Greg's collection. I believe I will keep with my plan and ride my old Electra Glide Classic on the twenty something mile long scoot. I have yet to pick out my 'vintage' garb, but since it will be rather cool with temps in the 40s and 50s, doubling up with a vest, tie, some riding boots, and a full face helmet is the plan~ (my buddy 'Willie' who I named in honor of my Dad, said he approves)

My first year for this ride and I will be glad to support this cause for it is great. Friends, neighbors, and family have suffered and been treated for this affliction and if not treated early, it will kill the victim before their time. 

I will be choosing to ride this old classic in honor of my Uncle who passed in 1990 from complications of prostate cancer. He loved classic boats, sportscars, and motorcycles and gifted to me the love for all things vintage (along with his brother, my Dad who I will honor on this ride for 2026). If you choose to donate, do so in honor of someone close to you. This is a brilliant cause and brings joy to my heart to participate ~

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Tuesday 13th May 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
