10 years on......

I find it hard to believe that I only started riding motorcycles 11 years ago, and that my first Gentlemens Ride was only one year later in 2014!

That maiden ride in Melbourne, was only the third year of the DGR full stop.  I was super keen to get on my Thruxton Cafe Racer and raise funds by riding dapper.  I still am, but theses days my bikes are over 50-60 years old. 

On that first Gentlemens Ride I was joined by Bernie, Joel and Rodd, all of us on old  and new classics, dressed to the nines.

This morning I caught up with Joel and Bernie for a blast around the Peninsula and a catch up over coffee.  

The accompanying photo is of our bikes catching the morning sun outside Nordie Cafe in Red Hill.  A magic morning!! 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding again in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
