Why We Ride: The Heart Behind the DGR
Wednesday 14th May 2025As the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride approaches, we start prepping in the usual ways—laying out our best outfits, polishing our boots, making sure our bikes are dialed in with no loose ends. We obsess over every detail, from the cut of our blazers to the perfect helmet to match the vibe. But while the style catches the eye, let’s not forget the soul behind the ride.
This isn’t just about looking sharp or showing off our vintage or café-styled machines. This ride is for our brothers—the ones still fighting silent battles every day, and the ones we’ve lost too soon. Mental health is a war waged in silence, and too many men feel they have to face it alone. And then there’s prostate cancer, the silent monster that’s taken far too many of our own.
So when someone this weekend asks, “What’s going on?” or “Why are you all dressed like that?”—don’t just say it’s for fun or for the bikes. Tell them the truth. Say it’s to raise awareness, to open up conversations that men have been avoiding for generations. Say it’s for the guy who looks fine on the outside but is breaking on the inside. Say it’s for the dads, the sons, the uncles, and the friends we’ve buried too soon.
This ride is our vehicle—literally and metaphorically—to bring attention to the things that really matter. Don’t shy away. Speak up. Share the cause. That’s why we’re doing this.
Ride dapper, but ride with purpose.
When the Route Changes, So Does the Ride: Why I’m Heading to Fort Lauderdale for DGR 202
Friday 9th May 2025
It comes as a bit of a shock to say this, but this year I won’t be participating in the Miami edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
Over the years, DGR Miami meant something powerful to me: riding through the heart of our city, united not just by style or bikes, but by purpose. We rode with intention, raising awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer. It felt real. It felt like community.
But this year, something shifted.
The energy around the Miami ride—whether through the route, the planning, or the conversations behind the scenes—feels misaligned. There seems to be more focus on personal agendas than on creating the welcoming, purpose-driven atmosphere that once defined this event. And that’s not a turn I’m willing to take.
I’m not here to throw shade or pass judgment, but I am here to stay true to what this ride has always meant to me. That’s why I’m stepping back from the Miami ride and heading north to Fort Lauderdale—where the heart still beats strong.
Fort Lauderdale’s ride is once again hosted by one of my favorite local crews: Imperial Moto. They’re not just about coffee and bikes—they’re about community. They’ve continued to pour love into this event, organizing a ride that actually reflects what DGR stands for: unity, awareness, and impact.
So this May 18th, I’ll be riding with the Fort Lauderdale group, but carrying Miami on my back.
To my Studio Three family, and the entire fitness community that has shown up with me day in and day out—this ride is for you. You’re the proof that fitness isn’t just about looks or PRs. It’s about caring for one another. And it’s about showing up for causes that hit close to home—like the mental and physical health of the men we train beside every day.
Help me make one final push to support this cause. Donate, share, ride, or simply ask a brother how he’s doing.
Let’s show Fort Lauderdale that Miami still rides with heart.

Looking Back to Ride Forward: 2024 DGR Recap + 2025 Teaser
Tuesday 6th May 2025Before we throttle into this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, I wanted to take a moment to rewind. If you’re new here or just need a reminder of what this ride is all about—check out the video below from last year’s DGR.
🎥 Watch Now: 2024 DGR – Marlboro Senna Bike Rideout
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xdVmlPK0Ps&t=133s
That day was special. The Marlboro Ayrton Senna custom build stole the show, but what really made it unforgettable was the love, support, and donations from people who showed up—even if it was just by watching, sharing, or donating a few bucks.
This year, I’m bringing out the Shadow 1300 Monoshock by MotorPsycholJ, and it’s a whole different beast. Classic meets modern. Grit meets art. I’ll be dropping some teaser content soon, so stay locked in.
👉 Whether you're riding, watching, or donating—just know you're part of something powerful.
Can I count on your support again this year?
No amount is too small. We ride for mental health. We ride for prostate cancer research. We ride for the ones we’ve lost—and for the ones still fighting.
Thank you for being part of the ride.
More updates coming soon.
Ride sharp,
Gui
Riding with Purpose: My 2025 DGR Journey
Tuesday 6th May 2025Since 2022, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has been more than just a date on my calendar—it’s become part of my DNA. Every year, I suit up, fire up the Harley, and join riders around the world to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
This isn’t just about motorcycles. It’s about showing up for a cause that hits home for so many of us. And I’m proud to say that thanks to the love and support from my incredible community—especially my clients—we’ve raised nearly $2,500 together. That’s real impact. That’s power in numbers.
Last year, I rode in on the now-infamous Marlboro Ayrton Senna bike—a tribute not just to a racing legend but to the spirit of fearlessness and style that fuels this ride.
This year, I’m hyped to unveil something fresh: The Shadow 1300 Monoshock, crafted by none other than the legend himself, Justin Alexander (MotorPsycholJ). It’s raw, it’s custom, and it’s ready to turn heads for a cause that matters.
If you’ve donated before, I can’t thank you enough. And if this is your first time hearing about the DGR, just know this: every dollar counts. Whether it's $5 or $50, your support helps move the needle in the fight against the silent battles too many men face.
So let’s ride with purpose. Let’s raise awareness. And let’s make this year the strongest yet.
Stay tuned for updates, and thank you—truly—for riding alongside me in spirit.
Much love,
Gui

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Tuesday 6th May 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives. My Sponsors
