Four days to go now.

The donations have been coming in, albeit a bit slower and less than last year, but that's probably a reflection of the uncertainty out there right now.

This means I've still got some way to hit my target, but there is still time :-)

I'm starting to prep my bike, gear, and attire for Sunday's DGR, Christchurch ride.

For those of you in the Northern hemisphere or in sunnier climes, the prepping the attire is less of an issue in functional planning, but down here in the South Island of NZ, we really have to think about the weather as we move into late Autumn. The weather forecast is at least looking a little better than it was 2 days ago, so here's hoping - especially as I have to ride 140km from my home to the gathering / start point of the DGR ride at Cathedral Square in Christchurch Central - and then, after this year's DGR, ride 140km back home again. 

I've added a pic of how I was dressed up for last year's event - hard to be dapper when dressed for cold, and incoming wet weather - yes, an extremely wet one, with a kind break in the weather for the gathering point!

Still, if the weather's bad, its just Type-2 fun, eh! Cheers

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Monday 24th Mar 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
