My Experience at The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2025

On May 18th, I had the incredible opportunity to join thousands of riders across the globe for the annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR)—an event that blends the love for classic and vintage-style motorcycles with a powerful cause: raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.

Dressed in my best dapper attire—a navy blazer, sharp white shirt, and a touch of flair with colorful socks—I joined the Phnom Penh DGR community astride my rugged Royal Enfield Himalayan, outfitted with my signature riding kit and camera gear, ready to capture moments and memories.

What DGR Is All About

For those unfamiliar, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is more than just a motorcycle rally. It’s a global movement founded in 2012, encouraging riders to dress dapper and ride together to support men’s health, in partnership with the Movember Foundation. This year’s ride took place in over 900 cities worldwide, uniting a community that truly believes in making a difference.

My Ride & My Why

As someone who is passionate about both motorcycles and storytelling, joining DGR felt like a natural fit. Riding through the streets of Phnom Penh with fellow enthusiasts in sharp suits and vintage helmets was nothing short of empowering.

I believe mental health awareness—especially for men—is something we don’t talk about enough. Through my participation, I hoped to spark conversations and show support for a cause that affects so many.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Tuesday 22nd Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
