Classic Motorcycle

A rider since age 11 my current moto is an homage to the pre-WW2 BMW R5 motorcycles. It looks old but is very modern, a 2021. As such it fits very nicely into the spirit of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. It has a powerful "boxer" engine of 1802 cc. My ride is mostly stock, though I have removed the rear passenger seat and added a custom locally fabricated rack to the top of the rear fender. I also had the seat re-upholstered for a more comfortable ride, also completed locally. I have added wind deflectors to the front forks and a helmet lock to round things out. My favourite features of the bike are its long low lines and the harmony between the Diamond Black  Metalic paint and the chrome. For me, the flowline of a motorbike is all about the exhaust pipes.

Riding for Men's Health: The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 27th Mar 2024

In Calgary, AB on Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
