DGR 2025 completed!

Monday 19th May 2025

It's been a long old day this one, with loops through Kendal, Kirby Lonsdale and Ingleton before reaching the end point at the lovely village of Wray in the Forest of Bowland. Approximately 115 miles covered in total today.

Thanks once again to the to the generosity of my lovely sponsors, my total raised was £268, £3134 raised for this ride overall (so far), and hopefully very much more for the rest of UK and indeed the world. The global total will take a while longer to tot up, no doubt. Every penny of this goes to helping with tackling prostate cancer, men's mental health issues and suicide prevention, globally. I'm a lucky lad indeed to know so many people who are willing to help. So really, thank you. See you next year all being well.

Special shout out to Anthony for organising this. It's a chunk of work, and is very much appreciated. Also, big thanks to Carolyn for donating by working wonders with needle and thread.

DGR day is here! My most beloved has kindly asked me to take her Guzzi for a leg strech, so more than happy to oblige.

I can't believe it's come round so fast, but the day after tomorrow we're off. So thought I'd better get my finger out and get my accumulated patch collection sewn on, reach for the chrome polish, and get ready to join the good Gentlefolk of the Kirby Lonsdale ride to raise awareness, and funds of course, in support of prostate cancer and men's mental health.

The weather's even forecast good this year, so it almost feels like cheating... Can't wait. :))

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Friday 11th Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
