Although it was a great day, I unfortunately hit the back of a Pajero on the way home. Front end damaged, a trip to hospital but came out monitor bruising and damaged hand. Doesn't matter how careful a wider you are, some circumstances are unavoidable. On a good note with the generosity of many great people, their donations pushed my total above $8,500. Many thanks to you all. On a better note, Shannons insurance have been spot on and bike will be repaired and the helmet replaced. Thanks to one and all.
On Sunday the 23rd of May, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.
I lost my best mate Rolly to cancer last year. We rode many miles together across this vast land on our Bonnevilles, once in 2017 to Sydney with other adventurous souls to ride in the Sydney DGR.
This year I ride alone, but with others for one of the greatest causes I've been involved in. I know my mate Rolly will be on the back of my Bonny in spirit, enjoying the friendship and knowing what we are doing is to help others.
Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. I am a survivor of prostate cancer, very lucky and I have always said that if by raising a few dollars to prevent cancer, then it was worth it. If you could donate just a few dollars to this cause, I am sure it would put not only a smile on my face, but also Rollys.
Miss you greatly mate and I will raise my glass to you on this day.

A noble cause and to watch those you love suffer with the scourge of cancer is a burden on family’s the world over. Hats 🎩 off to those who fight the battle.
