Why we ride

Tuesday 9th May 2023

Riding a motorcycle can have numerous mental health benefits beyond the sheer joy and excitement of being on the open road. For one, it can be a form of mindfulness meditation, allowing riders to focus solely on the present moment and clear their minds of other worries and distractions.

Additionally, riding a motorcycle can release endorphins and other "feel good" chemicals in the brain, leading to euphoria and pleasure. In many ways, riding can be a form of therapy or self-care, providing riders with a sense of freedom, independence, and control over their lives.

Moreover, participating in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride can be a way for riders to foster a sense of community and belonging, which is essential for maintaining good mental health. By connecting with other riders and supporters, participants can feel a sense of camaraderie and support that can help them cope with the challenges of everyday life.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Saturday 8th Apr 2023 On Sunday the 21st of May 2023, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
