About 2.5 years ago I had surgery for prostate cancer. I was then told that there was a risk that it could come back, which it did. After almost 2 years the psa value went up again, and continued to do so.

So I was recommended radiation therapy. And I have now undergone it, the last treatment was at the beginning of March. It was not an easy treatment to go through. After each treatment, as I always did in the morning, I went home and slept on the sofa for a couple of hours. Sometimes I slept almost all day.

You might think that radiotherapy is quite simple compared to chemotherapy, but it wasn't that simple. Side effects such as diarrhea and other unpleasant things along with fatigue and anxiety were really troublesome. I'm very glad it's over!

But how did it go? Yes, you can't say that until about 3 months after the end of treatment. But I hope for the best, of course.

In conclusion, I can tell you that only at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm, 500 radiation treatments are carried out per week!!! And last year there was a record number of victims. So I see this fundraiser as extremely important, donate what you can, even if it's just a hundred bucks. Every little helps …

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Friday 22nd Mar 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
