A sunny but chilly ride

Sunday 18th May 2025

This morning my mate Paul and I rode over to castlemaine for today's ride.Yes it was cold but we were well rugged up. The RSL had put on free tea, coffee, cake and sandwiches. The hot drinks warmed us up as we absorbed the sunshine out of the wind on the balcony. I had intended to ride my recently reregistered 69 Ducati 250 Mk3. However a shakedown run the day before found some gremlins in the ignition, so it was on to the more comfortable and reliable multistrada.

There was a good crowd there with everyone dressed up nice and dapper for the occasion. The ride was a bit longer than last year and included the obstacle course of the road over Mt Alexander. Some nice person had put paint around the 54 large pot holes. We finished up at the five flags in Campbell s creek for beer and a chat and a spot of lunch.

An enjoyable day.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Wednesday 9th Apr 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
