Let's do this,
I am reaching out to you as against all odds I am once again participating this year to the distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
Although I am still recovering from my garage fire/explosion which happened 6 months ago by going to physical therapy twice a week for my arm and hand, I feel it wouldn’t be fair not to participate to this charity so dear to me and give back some of the amazing support I receive after my accident for those in need of help now and in the future.
My skin grafts will accompany me for the rest of my life but I am healing and my scars are a visible reminder of how lucky I have been. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride purpose is to fight two hidden killers that unfortunately are often not visible until it is too late: Prostate Cancer (affecting 1 in 9 men) and men’s mental health (suicide prevention).
The donations on my account will help the Movember Foundation with funding research and new early screening methods as well as suicide prevention programs. For the past 5 years, the generosity of my co-workers, friends, family and strangers allowed me to be the 5th, 4th, 4th and 2nd highest fundraiser worldwide out of the 300 000 riders participating and fundraising each year. It would mean the world to me, with your help; to try to support this charity as well as we managed to do the previous years.
Another thing to look forward to is the documentary made on my accident, recovery and the unbelievable support of the New York motorcycle community. The short documentary will be featured and in competition at the Toronto Motorcycle Film Festival, the first week of October but you can already watch the official trailer here: https://www.thedistinguishedgentlemanfilm.com
If you did not get a chance to see it last year, here is a link to the short video Triumph Motorcycle (the charity main corporate sponsor) made last year about what the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is about and my relentless passion to support it. Part of the video takes place in my old garage and on my motorcycle, both lost in the fire: https://youtu.be/YBCdHh3u5KU
Finally yet importantly, a gigantic and sincere thank you for your support during my recovery and every year with this charity I champion, you are making all this possible.
Thank you for your incredible and inspiring dedication to these causes.
Thank you for making a difference....
