Riding with Purpose: EVMoto’s Inaugural Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

We at EVMoto are thrilled to share our journey participating in the esteemed Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for the very first time. This year marked a special milestone as we formed our inaugural team, dedicated to supporting this noble cause. With great enthusiasm and a shared passion for motorcycles, we embarked on a mission to raise funds and awareness for men's health on a global scale.

As enthusiasts of both classic motorcycles and charitable endeavors, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride resonated deeply with our team. The opportunity to don our finest attire and ride in solidarity with riders around the world, all in support of men's mental health and prostate cancer research, was one we couldn't pass up.

From the moment we announced our participation, the support poured in from friends, family, fellow riders, and our wider community. Through various fundraising efforts, including social media campaigns, local events, and personal outreach, we rallied together to make a meaningful impact.

We are immensely proud to announce that thanks to the generosity and kindness of our supporters, EVMoto has raised over $2000 towards the charitable cause. Every dollar contributed brings us closer to funding vital research, raising awareness, and ultimately, saving lives.

But our journey doesn't end with the fundraising total. The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is about more than just the dollars raised; it's about camaraderie, solidarity, and making a tangible difference in the world. As we donned our dapper attire and rode through the streets with fellow gentlemen and gentlewomen, we felt a sense of purpose and pride knowing that we were part of something much larger than ourselves.

As we reflect on our inaugural ride, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who supported us along the way. To our donors, sponsors, fellow riders, and the organizers of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Together, we have proven that the motorcycle community has the power to effect positive change in the world.

Looking ahead, we are already planning for next year's ride, eager to continue our support for men's health and to further strengthen the bonds within our team and community. With each mile ridden and each dollar raised, we reaffirm our commitment to making a difference and riding with purpose.

This year I am taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride to raise funds and awareness for mens health on behalf of Movember, and I need your help.
 
Movember is the world’s largest men’s health organisation focused on universal, game-changing and realistic outcomes for prostate cancer and men's mental health.
 
Prostate Cancer Statistics
* Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
* 307,000 men will die from prostate cancer each year.
 
Suicide Prevention – Men’s Mental Health
* Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-39, with ¾ of all suicides being male.
* 510,000 men die from suicide each year, that's one every minute.
 
This is a number that we seek to drastically change and can only been made possible through raising funds and awareness to help prevent men from dying too young.

The ride details will be disclosed to REGISTERED participants ONLY the day before the event to ensure the experience is enjoyed by committed riders. Make sure you reserve most of your Sunday, May 19th, for this special ride!
 
Prepare your finest attire—clean your best suit, polish your shoes, and don your helmet. Let's make this a dapper and memorable ride in support of a worthy cause.
 
For those in Los Angeles and interested in riding with a large group of fellow EVMoto enthusiasts (call out to ALL EV Motos and Bikes, Scooters, mopeds, One Wheels and trikes), we'll gather at BikeShed Moto Co. (1580 Industrial St, Los Angeles, CA) at 8 AM to prep our bikes before heading to the official starting point, to be revealed the day prior. The ride typically lasts about three hours, promising a delightful morning in good company.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Sunday 21st Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
